If I were to write a book it would be concerning something I believe I’ve learned a great deal about: listening. Not the kind of listening you do with your ears, though. The kind of listening you do with your heart.
I’ve been talking to so many people lately about what I’m trying to do. The change I want to see in the world. And honestly things have been working out pretty well. It’s hard to imagine my life any other way, and yet it was drastically different just 6 months ago.
Yes. 6 months. That’s all it took to change my life from one that bumped and stumbled along a path I thought was right for me, to one where every day brings a new opportunity and serendipitous connection. A life that feels like it’s gone from a gravel road full of potholes to a smooth and gracious monorail.
So I’ve decided to share what I’ve learned as accurately and succinctly as possible. I’m not going to tell you some yarn about how I’ve made all these great decisions and now my life is perfect. I’m going to tell you about the mistakes I’ve made, the road blocks I’ve run into, and the hurdles that almost undid me.
And if even just one person reads this and feels like it has helped them start listening, then I’ll feel like my time writing this was well spent.
